In the 80s the Japanese chiropractor Dr. Kenzo Kase developed a new form of therapy: “The Kinesiologic Taping”.
Kinesiologic-Taping is a taping technique using elastic tapes, which are free of medications and other substances. The technique needs to be learnt. The tapes are glued on the skin above the damaged structures in different forms and act like a second skin, expanding and contracting without restricting the freedom of movement.
Although the effectiveness of the tape systems could not be properly proven scientifically to this date, they play a significant role in the field of sports and therapy.
